Wingate, N.C.----The 17th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs had a trio of five-goal scorers Saturday afternoon, cruising to an 18-7 victory over visiting Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action at Graham Gill Field. The Bulldogs improve to 4-2 overall and 1-0 in league play, while the Railsplitters fall to 2-4 on the season, and 0-1 in the SAC.
THOUGHTS FROM TIM BOYLE
"I thought our first half was strong. I think we are still dealing with some issues coming out of halftime and we have to figure out a way to fix that. We played so hard in that second quarter and we've scored so many goal in the second quarter. That third quarter, if you look back at all the games I feel like we start off by giving up a goal in the third quarter. We struggled a bit at the X today, still were over 50 percent, but it was our first real struggle. It was probably a good thing in a game that we were in control of the scoring. So, we will get back to the drawing board on that."
THOUGHTS FROM ADAM VODOVNIK
"I just have to thank
Willie Grieco and
Bobby Padden. They do all the hard work I just sit around and find the open spots and finish them. They make me look good. They are good all-around players and they see the field really well."
