Jefferson City, Tenn.----The Carson-Newman University Eagles outscored visiting Wingate University 44-34 in the second half Saturday afternoon, prevailing 76-64 in South Atlantic Conference men's basketball action. The Eagles improve to 5-4 overall and 4-4 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 6-5 overall and 6-5 in league play.

- Wilson's three-point play trimmed the lead to eight with 9:07 left
- Two Priest free throws with 6:29 remaining pulled WU within seven at 60-53
- A Tyler Bowens layup and Brenegan three pushed the lead to 14 with four minutes remaining
