Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University sophomore
Niclas Wittur scored a pair of goals Thursday night, leading the third-ranked Bulldogs to a 3-0 victory over Catawba College in South Atlantic Conference men's soccer action at Pride Park. Wingate improves to 2-0-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the SAC, while the Indians fall to 0-2-1 overall and 0-2-1 in league play.

FIRST HALF
- Wingate got on the board in the 33rd minute
- Marshall got it started, sending one from deep in the WU zone to Wittur on the far sideline past midfield
- Wittur got behind the defense and beat the keeper into the opposite corner to make it 1-0
- The 'Dogs struck again less than two minutes later
- Nygaard sent a perfect cross into the box that was headed into the upper left corner by Bennett
SECOND HALF
- Wingate took a three-goal lead with just over a minute left in regulation
- Scully's pass from midfield found Wittur outside the box
- He ripped one from the left side of the box off a Catawba defender and into the net to make it 3-0
