Newberry, S.C.----The 16th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs remained perfect in league play Friday afternoon, rolling to a 6-1 victory at Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference men's tennis action. Wingate improves to 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the SAC, while the Wolves fall to 1-8 overall and 1-5 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Enrico Giacomini teamed with Edis Nokic for a 7-5 win at two doubles
- Josep Canyadell and Matt Jones won 6-3 at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Giacomini prevailed 6-3, 6-3 at one singles
- George Barfoot prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at number three singles
- Canyadell rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 victory at four singles
- Roy Stepanov cruised to a 6-0, 6-0 win at five singles
- Christian Della Cioppa wrapped it up with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at six singles
