Newberry S.C.----The 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs remained perfect in league play Friday afternoon, rolling to a 6-1 victory at Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the SAC, while Newberry falls to 7-2 overall and 4-2 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Elena Bompieri teamed with Jessica Ruetten for a 6-4 win at on one doubles
- Camilla Ciaccia and Georgina Wood prevailed 6-3 at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Bompieri rallied for a 5-7, 6-1, 6-3 win at one singles
- Elena Gunfaus prevailed 6-2, 6-2 at number three singles
- Wood rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 victory at four singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni picked up a 7-5, 6-3 win at five singles
- Riann Hsu wrapped things up with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at six singles
