Dahlonega, Ga.----The 10th-ranked Columbus State University Cougars defeated #13 Wingate University 4-0 in the semifinals of the 2021 NCAA Division II women's tennis Southeast Regionals. The Cougars improve to 15-4 overall, advancing to Tuesday's region title match, while the Bulldogs end their season at 16-2.

DOUBLES

- Columbus State picked up a 6-2 victory at number three doubles
- The Cougars won in a tiebreaker at two doubles, prevailing 7-6 to clinch the point
- Camilla Ciaccia and Elena Gunfaus led 6-5 at one doubles when CSU clinched the point
- Columbus State took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- CSU picked up wins at one, four and six singles to clinch the win
- Ciaccia won set one at two singles 7-5, then dropped set two and was tied 3-3 in the third
- Gunfaus bounced back from a first-set loss to win set two 7-6 and force a third set
- Flaminia Guidantoni also came back from dropping set one, taking set two 6-2 and was tied 5-5 in the third
- Riann Hsu dropped a tight 7-5, 7-6 match at six singles
