Bulldogs fall to #1 Columbus State in regional semifinals

Dahlonega, Ga.----The top-ranked Columbus State University Cougars stayed perfect on the season, prevailing 4-0 against #19 Wingate University in the semifinals of the 2021 NCAA Southeast Regional men's tennis tournament Saturday afternoon. The Cougars improve to 20-0 overall, advancing to Sunday's title match. The Bulldogs end their season at 13-3 overall.

DOUBLES

- Columbus State prevailed 6-1 and 6-2 at two and three doubles
- Roy Stepanov and Matteo Gostoli led 4-3 at #1 doubles when the point was clinched
- The duo had the 4-3 lead on the nation's top-ranked doubles duo

SINGLES

- Columbus State won at two, three and five singles to clinch the victory
- Enrico Giacomini bounced back from a set-one loss to win the second set 6-2
