Cary, N.C.----For the second straight day facing elimination, the 16th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs got a brilliant effort on the mound, with graduate student
David Nash tossing his first career nine-inning complete game to lead the Bulldogs to a 5-1 victory over the second-seeded and fourth-ranked Seton Hill Griffins in an elimination game at the NCAA Division II baseball national championships. By the end of the day, the Bulldogs will be one of just four teams remaining in the Division II World Series. Wingate moves to 36-13 overall, returning to action Thursday at 2 p.m. against Angelo State. Seton Hill ends its season at 39-8.
