Wingate rolls past Shaw behind big nights from Marshall and Fahlen Bruun

Box Score Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored multiple goals in each half on Saturday night at Pride Park, cruising to a 4-0 over the Shaw University Bears in NCAA Division II men's soccer action. Wingate improves to 2-2 overall, while Shaw falls to 1-1 on the season.

- Wingate outshot Shaw 11-3
- The Bulldogs had six shots on goal compared to the Bears' one
- Wingate had nine of the 10 corner kicks in the match
- The Bulldogs were called for 17 fouls, while the Bears had 13

Marshall scored a pair of goals to lead the attack
- Fahlen Bruun matched his career-high for assists in one game (two) and reached 10 career assists

FIRST HALF

- Marshall scored inside the near post off Fahlen Bruun's corner in the 12th minute
- Marshall's header from another Fahlen Bruun corner found the back of the net in the 29th minute

SECOND HALF
- Jens Bergendorff made his season debut in goal to start the second half
- Corpuz found Fahlen Bruun just inside the top of the box, who scored via lower left corner
- Shaw's header fell into Bergendorff's mitts, his lone save of the night
- 'Dogs capped the big night as Staade found a streaking Vazquez, who beat the keeper, scoring into the empty net
