79th-minute winner gives Limestone 4-3 victory over Wingate

Gaffney, S.C.-----Abbie Iddenden of Limestone connected on a goal in the 79th minute of action to push Limestone University to a 4-3 victory over visiting Wingate University in Saturday night's South Atlantic Conference women's soccer contest. Limestone improves to 5-1-1 overall and 1-1-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 2-3 overall and 0-3 in league play.

- Each team had 14 shots
- Both teams had eight shots on goal
- Wingate took three of four corner kicks
- The Bulldogs put four of their seven shots on goal in the second half, scoring twice

- Limestone came right back, as Azumi Manriki scored less than a minute later
- Larsen's header in the 25th minute was saved by Limestone goalkeeper Hannah Smith
- Tabea Schutt found the back of the net for the Saints in the 27th minute
- LU drew a penalty kick; Selina Boveleth converted on the try to extend Limestone's lead to 3-1 in the 37th minute
 
SECOND HALF
 
- Larsen scored via a Zanardi assist in the 52nd minute to pull within one goal
- Radonavitch tied the game off Peters' assist 14 minutes later
- Iddenden found the back of the net for the go-ahead goal in the 79th minute
- Jessica Capes' last-minute shot was saved by the Smith to seal the Limestone win

- Wingate is back in action next Wednesday, traveling to Catawba for a 5 p.m. start
