Hickory, N.C.----The seventh-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs advanced in thrilling fashion in NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament action for the second time in three days, prevailing 3-0 in penalty kicks to advance past second-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne and into round three after the teams were tied 1-1 through 110 minutes of action. Aleksa Janjic saved all three LR penalty kick attempts to help the 'Dogs move on. Wingate goes to 10-4-7 overall, while the Bears end their season at 12-4-3. The 'Dogs advance to the round of 16 to face Barry Friday, Nov. 18 at Florida Tech.

- Juan Hoyes scored the goal to make it 1-1 with 33 minutes left in regulation
- The Bears had a chance in the 84th minute, but Janjic turned away a Charles Lobo shot
- Santos had a chance on the other end, but Juan Basabe was there for the LR save
FIRST OVERTIME
- Each team took a pair of shots in the first OT
- LR had a chance in the 99th minute, but a WU defender was there on the line to make the save
SECOND OVERTIME
- Lenoir-Rhyne took four of the six shots in the second OT
- Janjic made another key save in the 107th minute to keep it tied
- Wingate had a good look on a free kick just outside the box 20 seconds later, but the shot sailed just high
- The contest went to PKs tied at one

- Dani Fernandez was denied by Janjic on LR's first attempt
