Wingate, N.C.----The 24th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs overcame losing the doubles point Saturday afternoon, going 6-0 in singles play en route to a 6-1 victory over Mount Olive in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 2-0 overall, while the Trojans fall to 3-2 on the year.

Florian Walcher teamed for a 6-2 win at two doubles
- UMO won 6-4 at one doubles and 6-2 at three doubles to claim the point
- The Trojans led 1-0 heading to singles play

- Welcher's second win of the day was a 7-5, 6-4 victory at one singles
- Brown rolled to a 6-1, 6-2 victory at two singles to move to 2-0 on the day
