Wingate, N.C.-—-The second-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs scored eight runs and utilized another quality start on the mound to defeat the 13th-ranked University of Mount Olive Trojans on Wednesday afternoon at Ron Christopher Stadium in NCAA baseball action. The Bulldogs improve to 4-0 while the Trojans drop to 2-2 on the year.

- After Williams-Rhem advanced to third on a balk, Dansky cashed in the run with a hot shot right back to the pitcher

- Trojans Jack Casbarro and Alden Cottle scored on a fielding error to cut the UMO deficit to 4-3
- After a Bryant double put runners on second and third, McKay walked to load the bases with two outs
- A Trojan passed ball scored the first run of the frame
- Williams-Rhem's two-out two-run single extended the Bulldog lead to 7-3

- The Trojans cut the deficit to two when Joshua Jones forced a bases-loaded walk, making the score 7-5
