Wingate, N.C.----The 34th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs fought hard in singles play against one of the nation's top teams, with four of the six singles matches going three sets before third-ranked Columbus State University eventually prevailed 6-1 in NCAA Division II men's tennis action Friday afternoon. The Cougars improve to 8-1 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 4-3 on the season.
DOUBLES
- The Cougars feature the top two doubles team in the nation at one and two doubles
- CSU won 6-1 and 6-3 at those spots, adding a 6-2 win at three doubles
- Columbus State took a 1-0 lead into singles play
