Wingate, N.C.----The 22nd-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs won the doubles point Tuesday afternoon, then went 4-2 in singles play to take down the 11th-ranked Newberry College Wolves in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. Wingate improves to 5-6 overall and 3-1 in the SAC, while the Wolves fall to 16-3 overall and 3-3 in league play.

Suzuka Sambyakugari rallied for a huge 7-6 victory at one doubles
- The duo trailed 4-0, came to take a 5-4 lead, then trailed 6-5 before tying it at six and forcing a tiebreaker
- They then trailed 6-2 in the tiebreaker, but scored the rest of the points to pick up the win
- The 'Dogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

- Lopez prevailed 6-1, 7-5 at four singles
