Saint Leo, Fla.----The 13th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs began a challenging Spring Break trip in Florida Monday afternoon, falling 5-1 at Saint Leo University in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. The Lions improve to 7-0 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-2 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Camilla Ciaccia teamed with Suzuka Sambyakugari for a 6-4 win at number one doubles
- Flaminia Guidantoni and Jessica Ruetten dropped a tight 7-5 match at two doubles
- The Lions won 6-3 at three doubles to clinch the point
- Saint Leo took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Alex Lopez won 6-2, 2-6, 1-0 (10-7) at number five singles
- The Lions won at one, two, four and six singles
- Saint Leo was up a set at three singles when the match was clinched
