Wingate, N.C.----The top-ranked Wingate University had five pitchers combine to allow just two runs on five hits Tuesday afternoon, prevailing 7-2 over Queens University in NCAA Division II baseball action at Ron Christopher Stadium and Plyler Athletic Field. Wingate improves to 18-2 overall, while the Royals fall to 10-10 on the year. The 'Dogs are now 14-0 at home this season. WU has won 23 of its last 25 dating back to last year's NCAA title run and 30 of 33 going back to the SAC Tournament.

- He plated both with an RBI double down the right field line to make it 2-0

- Two hit batsman and a groundout put runners on second and third for the 'Dogs
- A Farris sacrifice fly plated Dansky
- Christopher followed with an RBI single, driving home McNeely to make it 4-0

FIFTH INNING

- McNeely ripped a leadoff double down the left field line to start the fifth
- Carraway followed with a two-run homer to left center to make it 6-0

SIXTH INNING

- Andrew Motsinger reached on a two-out single
- He scored on Dansky's RBI double to right to push the lead to seven

NINTH INNING

- Nick Brassington's two-run homer got the Royals on the board

WRAPUP

- McCullough got the win, improving to 3-0
- The All-American was making his first appearance since Feb. 11
- He allowed two hits on the day, striking out six without walking a batter
- McCullough has 30 strikeouts in 13 2/3 innings of work this year
- Kei Yamagishi took the loss, allowing four runs on three hits in 3 2/3 innings, striking out three and walking two
