Wingate, N.C.----The 11th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs moved into a first-place tie in the SAC standings Saturday afternoon with a 5-2 victory over Anderson University in South Atlantic Conference women's tennis action. Wingate wins its sixth straight, improving to 11-6 overall and 8-1 in the SAC. The Trojans fall to 14-7 overall and 7-4 in league play.

DOUBLES

- Camilla Ciaccia and Suzuka Sambyakugari teamed for a 6-4 win at one doubles
- Chloe Kosmrlj teamed with Alex Lopez for a dominant 6-0 victory at two doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Kosmrlj prevailed 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 at two singles
- Elena Gunfaus won 6-4, 6-2 at three singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni picked up a 7-5, 6-1 win at five singles
- Sambyakugari won 6-1, 3-6, 6-2 at six singles
