Fayetteville, N.C.----For the ninth straight season, the Wingate University Bulldogs have started the season 2-0. Wingate held Fayetteville State off the scoreboard for the first 59 minutes, rolling to a 21-3 victory in NCAA Division II football action. Wingate moves to 2-0 overall, while the Broncos fall to 1-1 on the season.

FIRST QUARTER
- After forcing a pair of three-and-outs, the 'Dogs took over at their own 34 midway through the quarter
- A 17-yard Wilson run and an FSU penalty got Wingate inside the 30
- Crocker added an 11-yard run to get it into the red zone
- Three straight Wilson runs got the Bulldogs inside the five
- Crocker hit Martin from three yards out to make it 7-0
THIRD QUARTER
- Wingate forced a three-and-out to start the half and took over at midfield
- Wilson's 20-yard run got the 'Dogs to the FSU 31
- Crocker hit Simmons to get it inside the 20
- Crocker hooked up with Dillon for a five-yard touchdown to make it 14-0
FOURTH QUARTER
- Wingate used a 13-play, 70-yard drive that took over seven minutes to take a 21-0 lead
- Crocker's 12-yard strike to Dillon got it into Fayetteville State territory
- Clark's 11-yard run got it to the FSU 30
- Wilson's seven-yard run got it inside the five
- He punched it in from a yard out to put WU on top by three scores with 7:21 to go
