Wilson, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got 275 passing yards from
Brooks Bentley and 163 receiving yards from
Tremel Jones en route to a 38-24 victory at Barton College in South Atlantic Conference football action Saturday afternoon. Wingate improves to 5-3 overall and 4-2 in the SAC, while Barton falls to 5-3 overall and 3-3 in league play.

FIRST QUARTER
- Wingate got the ball first and went 75 yards in eight plays

- Bentley hit McCray for a 20-yard touchdown to make it 7-0
- Barton answered on its first play from scrimmage
- Jaquan Lynch hit Kameron Johnson for a 75-yard TD to make it 7-7 with 10:52 to go
- The 'Dogs countered with a 13-play, 77-yard touchdown drive
- Jones had catches of 17 and 16 yards to get it to the BC 46
- Bentley's 24-yard run got it into the red zone
- Bentley hit Flanders for a three-yard touchdown to make it 14-7
SECOND QUARTER
- Wingate went on a seven-play scoring drive spanning the first and second quarter
- Bentley hooked up with Jones for a 38-yard catch to get it to the Barton two
- Barnett punched it in to put the 'Dogs on top by 14
- WU scored in the final minute, using a four-play 50-yard drive
- A 22-yard Estranza catch got the 'Dogs to the red zone

THIRD QUARTER
- Barton went on a six-play, 75-yard scoring drive to start the second half
- Lynch hit Jordan Terrell for a 20-yard touchdown to make it 28-14
- A Wingate fumble was recovered by Barton at the WU 25 on the next play
- Johnson hit Lynch for a seven-yard TD to make it a seven-point game with 11:12 left

FOURTH QUARTER
- Wingate forced a three-and-out, with a Thomas 15-yard return getting it to the BC 35
- Bentley hit Jones for a 22-yard touchdown to make it 35-24 with 12:45 remaining
- Another Wingate fumble gave Barton the ball at midfield
- The 'Dogs got it right back, thanks to a Short interception and return to the BC 47
- Barnett had rushes of 10 and 11 yards to get it into the red zone
- Bonestell connected on a 36-yard field goal to make it 38-24 at the 4:11 mark
- White's interception on the ensuing Barton drive gave it back to the 'Dogs with 2:29 left
