Husted’s hat trick leads Wingate to 7-0 victory over Bluefield State

Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University junior forward Sophia Husted scored three goals Wednesday afternoon, leading the Bulldogs to a 7-0 victory over Bluefield State University in NCAA Division II women's soccer action at Pride Park. The Bulldogs improve to 11-3-1 overall, while the Big Blue fall to 4-10-1 on the season.

- She struck again four minutes later off another Cristy assist to give the 'Dogs a two-goal lead
- The 'Dogs took a three-goal lead in the 39th minute
- Maino's scored her third goal of the season off an Agelis assist to make it 3-0

SECOND HALF

- Wingate got on the board less than four minutes into the second half
- Cowley netted her fifth goal of the year to put the 'Dogs on top 4-0
- Husted capped her hat trick in the 56th minute
- Her third goal of the day and seventh of  the year came off another Cristy assist
- Wingate took a 6-0 lead in the 75th minute
- Hayes netted her first goal of the year off a Maino assist
- The 'Dogs capped their scoring in the 78th minute
- Brown's second goal of the season came off a Musilli assist to make it 7-0
