Wingate rides second-half barrage to 3-0 victory over Saints

Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored three times in a 12-minute stretch in the second half Wednesday afternoon, prevailing 3-0 over Limestone University in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action at Pride Park. Wingate improves to 6-2-1 overall and 3-2 in the SAC, while the Saints fall to 2-6 overall and 1-4 in league play.

- Wingate piled up 16 shots in the final 45 minutes, including nine shots on goal
- Peters started the scoring in the 60th minute
- She took a feed from Ditillo and ripped one from outside the top of the box to make it 1-0
- The 'Dogs struck again less than four minutes later
- Peters sent one long to Cowley, who got behind the defense and beat the keeper to make it 2-0
- Boaventura capped the scoring in the 72nd minute
- She took a feed from Maino and ripped one past the keeper to put the 'Dogs on top by three
