Wingate, N.C.----The third-seeded Wingate University Bulldogs exploded for three first-half goals Saturday afternoon, rolling to a 4-1 victory over sixth-seeded Lincoln Memorial University in the opening round of the South Atlantic Conference women's soccer tournament at Pride Park. The 'Dogs win their seventh straight, improving to 14-3-1 overall and advancing to the SAC Tourney semifinals Friday in Matthews, N.C. LMU falls to 8-7-3 on the year.

FIRST HALF
- Wingate got on the board less than two minutes in
- Larsen finished off a Peters corner kick for her eighth goal of the season to make it 1-0
- LMU had the answer in the 11th minute
- Ellie Snyder scored off a Ryan Branson assist to make it 1-1
- The 'Dogs took the lead for good in the 25th minute
- Cowley ripped home a cross from Peters for her seventh goal of the season to make it 2-1
- The Bulldogs struck again six minutes later
- Ensalaco took a feed from Peters and finished from outside the box to push the lead to two
SECOND HALF
- The 'Dogs added an insurance goal in the 74th minute
- Peters scored her eighth goal of the year from well outside the box to make it 4-1
- Boaventura had the assist on the final goal of the day
