Davidson, N.C.----Playing their second NCAA Division I opponent in three days, the Wingate University Bulldogs took down Davidson College 5-2 in NCAA men's tennis action Saturday afternoon. Wingate improves to 1-1 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Luka Brown and Florian Walcher won 6-4 at one doubles
- The duo is 2-0 against Division I doubles opponents this week
- Edis Nokic teamed with Gabriel Constantino for a 6-1 win at two doubles to clinch the point
- Hugo Nossler and Petar Basic Palkovic were tied 4-4 at three doubles when the point was clinched
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Walcher won 7-5, 6-7, 6-3 at number one singles, his second singles win over a D1 opponent this week
- Nossler picked up his second singles win against D1 opposition with a 7-5, 6-3 win at four singles
- Jonas Grasmueck prevailed 6-4, 7-5 at number five singles
- Carlo Rosselini won 7-6, 6-4 at six singles
- Constantino dropped a tough three-set match at two singles
