Newberry, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs picked up their 20th win of the season, pushed their winning streak to nine, and clinched a home game in the SAC Tournament quarterfinals with a 73-53 victory at Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action Wednesday night. Wingate improves to 20-6 overall and 13-4 in the SAC, while the Wolves fall to 8-19 overall and 4-13 in league play.

- Back-to-back Troutman layups gave the Bulldogs a 14-point lead three minutes into the third
- A Holly Davies jumper at the 4:41 mark cut the lead to 10
- A Clark triple and Troutman bucket made it 51-36 with 1:53 to go
- A Davies jumper with 21 seconds left pulled the Wolves within 12 heading to the fourth
FOURTH QUARTER
- Clark's triple a minute in put Wingate back on top by 15
- Bongiorno's three cut the lead back to 10 with 7:42 remaining
- A Sullivan triple and Clark three-point play made it 64-48 at the 6:26 mark
- Free throws from Sullivan and Leah Barringer put the 'Dogs on top by 20
- Newberry got no closer than 17 the rest of the way
