Wingate, N.C.----The Lincoln Memorial University Railsplitters scored 12 runs over the final four innings Sunday night, pulling away for a 17-8 victory at Wingate University to punch their ticket to the South Atlantic Conference baseball tournament next weekend. LMU improves to 30-16 on the season, while the Bulldogs fall to 32-18 overall.

- A Carson Boles two-run homer highlighted a four-run first for LMU

- A Mitch Petzel solo homer put the Railsplitters back on top by four
- Wingate pulled within one with three runs in the bottom of the frame
- A King single and a pair of walk loaded the bases with two outs
- Farris lined a two-run single to right to make it 5-3
- Simpson followed with an RBI single to make it a one-run game
SIXTH INNING
- A Kasten Harvey bases-loaded walk and Ryan Kurth RBI groundout put LMU on top 7-4
SEVENTH INNING
- A two-run single from Boles put the Railsplitters on top by five
EIGHTH INNING
- Lincoln Memorial scored seven in the eighth to take a 16-4 lead
- Two-run homers from Kurth and Jared Hancock highlighted the seven-run frame
- A pair of walks and two LMU errors in the bottom of the frame made it 16-6
NINTH INNING
- A Chris Hall RBI groundout plated the final run of the night for the Railsplitters
- Carraway lined a solo shot to dead center
- Another LMU error allowed Farris to score, making it 17-8
WRAPUP
- Eli Edds got the win, moving to 6-3 on the year
- He allowed four runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings, striking out five and walking five
