St. Augustine, Fla.----The fourth-seeded and 14th-ranked Georgia College Bobcats prevailed 4-2 over fifth-seeded and eighth-ranked Wingate University in the opening round of the NCAA Southeast Regional women's tennis tournament. The Bobcats improve to 20-4 overall, while Wingate wraps up its season at 19-4.

DOUBLES

- Chloe Kosmrlj and Suzuka Sambyakugari prevailed 7-6 at one doubles
- Saga Berggren and Gaya Solomon dropped a tight 7-6 match at three doubles on a 7-5 tiebreaker
- Georgia College added a 6-3 win at two doubles to clinch the point
- The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Sambyakugari won 7-5, 6-4 at four singles
- Flaminia Guidantoni prevailed 6-3, 6-2 at five singles
- Kosmrlj dropped a 7-6 opening set at one singles in a 9-7 tiebreaker and was leading 4-2 in set two
