Wilson, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs scored a goal in each half Thursday afternoon, rolling to a 2-0 victory at Barton College NCAA Division II women's soccer action. The Bulldogs open the season with a 1-0 record, while Barton falls to 0-1 overall.

SECOND HALF

- Thisgaard notched her first save of the day in the 50th minute on Barton's first shot
- She added another save in the 63rd minute to keep Wingate on top
- Wingate took a two-goal lead in the 86th minute
- Cristy scored her first goal of the year off a Maino assist to make it 2-0
