Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs trailed by 16 points in the first quarter Wednesday night against fourth-ranked Catawba College, but outscored the Indians 68-42 in the final three quarters to prevail 78-65 in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 10-4 overall and 5-1 in the SAC, while the Indians fall to 10-2 overall and 5-1 in league play.

- A Breedlove triple 90 seconds into the second pulled the 'Dogs to within eight
- Baker's jumper with six minutes left put the Indians on top 31-19
- A Wilson triple followed by a layup and two free throws from Beale cut the lead to five
- Mazie Helpman's triple gave Catawba a 34-26 advantage
- Breedlove's layup in the final seconds made it 34-30 at halftime
THIRD QUARTER
- A jumper and free throw from Beale in the opening minute cut the lead to two
- A Thorne triple with eight minutes to go gave Catawba a 39-34 advantage
