Bulldogs push winning streak to eight with 3-0 victory at Tusculum

Greeneville, Tenn.----The Wingate University Bulldogs picked up their second conference road sweep of the week, rolling to a 3-0 victory at Tusculum University in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action Friday night. Wingate won by scores of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-18 to improve to 16-2 overall and 8-1 in the SAC, while the Pioneers fall to 7-11 overall and 5-5 in league play.

KEY STATS

- Wingate had 47 kills and 13 errors in 144 attacks, hitting .236
- Tusculum had 29 kills and 16 errors in 126 swings to hit .103
- The Bulldogs had seven of the nine aces and four of the six blocks
- The Pioneers held a 76-74 advantage in digs

- Two Lamphere kills and two Saye kills gave the 'Dogs an early 5-2 lead

- An Addison McLarty kill cut the lead to three at 14-11

- A Martina Foster kill cut the lead to two at 16-14
- Wingate scored the next six, getting two Saye kills along with a kill and a block from Morland to take a 22-14 lead
- Back-to-back Lamphere kills put the 'Dogs on top 24-18; Van Heyst's kill ended the match
