Wingate, N.C.----Wingate University senior midfielder
Rylie Cordrey scored late in regulation to force overtime Saturday afternoon, then struck again in OT to lead the Bulldogs to a huge 2-1 victory over Converse University in South Atlantic Conference field hockey action at Graham Gill Field. Wingate improves to 11-3 overall and 9-2 in the SAC, while the Valkyries fall to 7-4 overall and 5-4 in league play.

OVERTIME

- Cordrey took a shot that was saved, but she tracked down the rebound
- Cordrey beat the keeper off the rebound, giving the 'Dogs the 2-1 victory
- 10th goal of the season for Cordrey and third game-winner
