Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs outscored Newberry College 27-11 in the fourth quarter Wednesday night en route to an 83-59 victory in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 16-8 overall and 11-5 in the SAC, while the Wolves fall to 7-16 overall and 5-10 in league play.

- Wingate shot 52 percent from the field, going 11-for-19 from three-point range (58 percent)
- Newberry shot 39 percent from the field, connecting on nine-of-25 from deep (36 percent)

FIRST QUARTER
- A Chloe Andrew triple four minutes in gave the Wolves a 14-7 lead
- Hege answered with a three to cut the lead to four at the midway point
- Alyssa Woodlock's layup at the 3:27 mark gave Newberry an 18-13 advantage
- Wingate scored the last eight points of the quarter to take a 21-18 lead
- Hege had four points in the spurt; Breedlove's layup at the buzzer capped it
SECOND QUARTER
- Breedlove's bucket a minute into the second pushed the lead to five
- Julia Paoletta's triple with 7:49 to go pulled the Wolves within one
- Hege buried a pair of threes to make it 31-24 at the 5:14 mark
- Sullivan's triple a minute later pushed the lead to eight
- A layup from April Rummery-Lamb with 21 seconds left cut the lead to two
- Two Clark free throws in the final seconds put the 'Dogs on top 38-34
THIRD QUARTER
- Beale's jumper a minute in gave the Bulldogs a 40-34 advantage
- Deshona Gaither's three at the 7:50 mark cut the lead to two
- A Hege jumper and Clark triple made it 49-40 with 4:29 to go
- A three from Chloe Andrew cut the lead to three with 1:49 remaining
- Clark buried a triple, while a Hege layup in the final seconds made it 56-48
FOURTH QUARTER
- Wilson drilled back-to-back threes to make it 62-48 a minute into the fourth
- Jumpers from Sullivan and Anderson pushed the lead to 16 with seven minutes left
- WU used an 11-0 run to take a 75-50 lead on Wilson's triple at the 5:06 mark
- Beale knocked down a three with 4:44 to go to extend the lead to 26
- Newberry got no closer than 19 the rest of the way
