Tigerville, S.C.----The third-seeded and 19th-ranked University of Mount Olive Trojans scored twice in the seventh inning Saturday afternoon, then held off multiple chances from sixth-seeded Wingate University for a 3-2 victory on day three of the NCAA Southeast Regionals. The Trojans move to 39-17 overall, advancing to take on Georgia College Saturday evening. The Bulldogs end their season at 34-25.

- WU started the top of the frame with a single, walk and sacrifice to put runners on second and third
- Back-to-back groundouts ended the threat, keeping it tied at one
- An RBI groundout from Jeffries in the bottom of the inning gave Mount Olive a 2-1 advantage
- Cottle added an RBI single to push the lead to two
NINTH INNING
- Barnett led off the top of the ninth with his WU-record 26th homer of the season to cut the lead to one
- An Ishmael walk and Dansky single put Bulldogs on the corners with one out
- A strikeout and popout ended the game, leaving the tying run 90 feet away
