Hali Scott tossed a two-hitter Thursday afternoon and blasted a two-run homer, leading the top-seeded and seventh-ranked Bulldogs to a 5-0 victory over eighth-seeded Anderson University on day one of the NCAA Southeast Regional softball tournament. The Bulldogs improve to 47-9 overall, advancing to the winner's bracket game Friday at 10:30 a.m. The Trojans fall to 34-18 on the year and will play in an elimination game Friday at 1 p.m.

FIRST INNING
- Hobgood led off the frame with a single
- Scott blasted a two-out, two-run homer to left center to give Wingate a 2-0 advantage
SIXTH INNING
- The Bulldogs added three runs in the sixth
- Liles ripped a one-out single to left, then moved to second on a
Hannah Stevens sacrifice
- Kramer ripped a double off the wall in left, driving home Liles to make it 3-0
- Lampley followed with an RBI single to push the lead to four
- Hobgood lifted an RBI double to right, plating Lampley from first to put the 'Dogs on top 5-0
WRAPUP
- That was plenty for Scott, who picked up the win to move to 16-4 on the year
- She allowed just two singles in 6 2/3 innings, striking out six and walking two

Lily Huneycutt came in and struck out the final batter of the game to end it
- Morgen Baker-Celis took the loss, allowing five runs on 11 hits in six innings, striking out three
