#11 Lenoir-Rhyne edges Wingate 1-0

Hickory, N.C.----The 11th-ranked Lenoir-Rhyne University Bears got a goal in the 32nd minute Saturday afternoon, en route to a 1-0 victory over visiting Wingate University in South Atlantic Conference women's soccer action. The Bears improve to 4-0-3 overall and 2-0-1 in the SAC, while the Bulldogs fall to 3-1-2 overall and 2-1 in league play.

- The Bears took six of the seven corner kicks

KEY BULLDOGS

- Sophia Husted led all players with five shots, including two shots on goal

SECOND HALF

- Wingate took eight of the 12 shots in the final 45 minutes
- Faucette registered three saves in the opening 10 minutes to keep the deficit at one
- Gabby Agelis had a chance in the 80th minute, but her shot was saved
- Aoki had the final chance for the 'Dogs in the 89th minute, but her shot was also turned away
