Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs closed the game on a 12-4 run Saturday afternoon, en route to a 68-65 victory over Lincoln Memorial University in South Atlantic Conference women's basketball action in Cuddy Arena. Wingate improves to 11-7 overall and 10-4 in the SAC, while LMU falls to 8-10 overall and 7-8 in league play. The victory gives head coach Ann Hancock her 400th career victory.

- A Kamil Collier jumper three minutes in gave LMU a 7-5 lead
- Wingate scored 12 of the next 14 points, getting five points from Anderson and four from Bacon to go on top 17-9
- Oliver's jumper in the final seconds gave Wingate a 23-13 lead heading to the second
SECOND QUARTER
- A Matty Tanner triple 4:30 into the second pulled LMU to within one at 27-26
- A three and a layup from Beale, along with Massey's jumper gave WU a 34-26 lead with four minutes left
- Two more Massey jumpers stretched the advantage to 11 at 40-29
- A pair of Shaylin Pollock layups put the 'Dogs on top by 13 with 55 seconds left
- A Keiara three-point play in the final seconds cut the halftime lead to 10 at 42-32
THIRD QUARTER
- An Asia Barr three capped a 10-2 run that pull LMU within two at 44-42 with seven minutes left
- Beale's layup pushed the lead back to four, but a Tanner triple at the midway point gave LMU a 47-46 lead
- Oliver's jumper with 1:04 to go put the 'Dogs back on top 50-49
- Alexa Smiddy's triple gave LMU a two-point lead with 35 seconds to go
- Beale's layup with seven seconds left tied it at 52 heading to the fourth
FOURTH QUARTER
- A Collier jumper with 4:04 to go gave LMU a 61-56 advantage
- Wingate scored the next seven to regain the lead
- Beale and Baraldi started the spurt with layups; Anderson's three-point play gave WU a 63-61 lead
- Smiddy's free throw with 51 seconds left cut the lead to one
- Oliver buried two free throws with 18 seconds remaining to make it 65-62
- Bacon's free throw with nine seconds to go extended the lead to four
- Tanner buried a triple with three second left, making it a one-point game
- Oliver knocked down two free throws with two seconds remaining to make it 68-65
