Salisbury, N.C.----In a battle of top-10 titans, No. 8 Catawba earned a 150-112 South Atlantic Conference women's swimming triumph over visiting No. 9 Wingate Friday night at the Johnson Pool. Bulldog freshman Nisa Gul Serdar won two individual events, the 200 Butterfly and the 200 Individual Medley.
 
Senior Natalia Dwojak won the 100 Breaststroke and contributed to two relay silver medals. Senior team captain Nina Azirovic joined Dwojak on the two relay swims, the 400 Medley Relay and the 200 Freestyle Relay.
 
The reigning SAC Swimmer of the Week, Dwojak posted a D2B time of 1:02.74 in the 100 Breaststroke. Dwojak, Azirovic and two teammates swam the 400 Medley Relay in a D2B time of 3:44.86 and the 200 Freestyle Relay in 1:35.78.
 
Serdar had a team-high three D2B cuts Friday. She swam a 2:04.62 in the 200 Fly and a 2:04.75 in the 200 Individual Medley. Serdar tied Azirovic for second place in the 100 Freestyle as both Bulldogs swam a D2B cut time of 51.89.
 
Wingate had seven NCAA D2B cuts Friday. The Bulldogs collected three gold medals, 12 silver medals and 10 bronze medals in the SAC matchup.
