Newberry, S.C.----The 19th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs hit .426 Saturday afternoon, cruising to a 3-0 victory at Newberry College in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action. Wingate won by scores of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-12 to improve to 23-1 overall and 16-0 in the SAC, while the Wolves fall to 10-11 overall and 5-9 in league play. The Bulldogs have won 22 straight matches on the year, while 18 of the 23 victories have come in three sets.
