Bulldogs push winning streak to four with 10-9 victory at Francis Marion

Florence, S.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs got a two-run single from Landon Meyer in the top of the ninth inning Tuesday afternoon en route to a 10-9 victory at Francis Marion University in NCAA Division II baseball action. Wingate wins its fourth straight, improving to 12-10 on the season, while the Patriots fall to 17-7 overall.

- Ishmael led off the inning with a single, then stole second and moved to third on a Harris sacrifice
- Hoffman then drew a walk and stole second, putting 'Dogs on second and third
- Meyer's two-out, two-run single gave the Bulldogs a 10-8 lead
- Villaran Goundis ripped a one-out triple to left center in the bottom of the frame
- He scored on an RBI groundout from Rijnaldo Euson to make it a one-run game
- Jett Thomas induced a game-ending groundout to secure the WU victory

WRAPUP

- Talan McConnell got the win, allowing two earned runs on a hit in an inning, striking out one
