Wingate, N.C.----The Wingate University Bulldogs stayed perfect in league play Wednesday afternoon, rolling to a pair of victories over Carson-Newman University in South Atlantic Conference softball action. Wingate won the opener 9-1 in five innings, while prevailing 12-4 in five innings in game two to improve to 15-11 overall and 6-0 in league play. The Eagles fall to 17-9 overall and 4-2 in league play. The 'Dogs move to 46-8 in league play over the past three seasons. Wingate has now won nine straight against Carson-Newman.
