Columbus, Ga.----The 35th-ranked Columbus State University Cougars went 4-2 in singles play Wednesday afternoon, picking up a 4-3 victory over #13 Wingate University in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. The Cougars improve to 6-3 overall, while the Bulldogs fall to 8-3 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Suzuka Sambyakugari teamed with Gigi Hinson for a 7-5 win at two doubles
- Claudia Vallejos and Fernanda Castillo prevailed 6-3 at three doubles
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Sambyakugari won 6-4, 6-3 at three singles
- Hinson prevailed 6-4, 6-4 at six singles
- Chloe Kosmrlj dropped a tough three-set match at one singles
- CSU won the clincher at two, with Castillo dropping a tough 7-6 third set in two singles
- Vallejos also dropped a three-set match at four singles
