Laney Beale poured in a career-high 22 points Wednesday night, leading the fourth-seeded Bulldogs to a 61-56 victory over fifth-seeded Catawba College in the quarterfinals of the 2025 South Atlantic Conference tournament. Wingate improves to 19-10 overall, advancing to Thursday's semifinals to take on top-seeded Coker. The Indians fall to 17-12 on the season.

FIRST QUARTER
- Two Beale triples gave the 'Dogs an early 8-0 lead
- Beale's layup with four minutes left gave Wingate a 12-2 advantage
- A Nala Baker triple cut the lead to four, but Beale hit another three to make it 15-8
- A Sydney Gueterman triple in the final minute cut the lead to two at 15-13
SECOND QUARTER
- Threes from Beale and Massey put the 'Dogs on top 21-13
- Another Beale triple at the 4:45 mark extended the lead to nine
- A jumper and two free throws from Oliver gave Wingate a 30-17 lead with 1:27 to go
- Two free throws from Baker cut the halftime lead to nine at 30-21
THIRD QUARTER
- A Janiya Foskey jumper pulled the Indians within three at the 7:53 mark
- Baraldi answered with a jumper to give the 'Dogs a 34-29 lead
- Catawba scored the next six, taking a 35-34 lead on a Foskey layup with 6:48 to go
- Baker's triple with 3:38 remaining gave the Indians a 41-38 advantage
- Oliver and Bacon made two free throws each in the final minute, giving WU a 45-43 lead
FOURTH QUARTER
- Oliver's three-point play at the 8:36 mark gave the Bulldogs a 48-43 advantage
- A jumper and two free throws from Oliver made it 52-43 with 5:13 to go
- Catawba answered with a 10-1 run, cutting the lead to two at 53-51 on a Mary Spry layup
- Beale's layup with 2:41 to go gave the 'Dogs a four-point advantage
- An Anderson free throw with two minutes remaining pushed the lead to five
- Two Natalie Fuertes free throws with a minute left made it 56-54
- Beale's layup with 33 seconds left gave Wingate a 58-54 advantage
- A Foskey jumper cut the lead to two with 10 seconds to go
- Baraldi made it a four-point game with two free throws with eight seconds left
