Charlotte, N.C.---- The nationally-ranked Wingate University cross country teams competed in the Queen City Invite on the Larry McAfee Course at McAlpine Creek Park Friday. The No. 1 Bulldog men finished ninth in the 21-team field, while the No. 5 Wingate women took 11th place in the 20-squad gathering.

Luke Lindsay and
Justin Rau finished 31st and 32nd, respectively for the Wingate men. Lindsay posted an 8K time of 25:37.86, while Rau had an 8K time of 25:37.91. For the Bulldog women,
Maud Lambotte led the way. She ran a 5K time of 19:03.93 to finish in 72nd place.

Wingate hosts the Bulldog Stampede Saturday, September 20 at the Wingate Cross Country Facility. The women's 5K race is slated for 8 a.m. with the men's 8K race to follow at 8:45 a.m.
