Morland leads #20 Wingate past Catawba in SAC opener

Salisbury, N.C.----Wingate University All-American Sydney Morland piled up 16 kills and seven blocks Tuesday night, leading the 20th-ranked Bulldogs to a 3-1 victory at Catawba College in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action. Wingate won by scores of 24-26, 25-21, 25-20 and 25-13 to improve to 8-1 overall and 1-0 in the SAC, while the Indians fall to 3-3 overall and 0-1 in league play.
