#12 North Georgia rallies for 4-3 victory over Bulldogs in season opener

Dahlonega, Ga.----The Wingate University Bulldogs held a 3-2 halftime lead at #12 North Georgia Thursday evening, but the Nighthawks struck twice in the second half to prevail 4-3 in NCAA Division II women's soccer action. UNG starts the season 1-0, while the Bulldogs fall to 0-1.

- The Nighthawks held an 8-5 edge in shots on goal
- UNG took five of the seven corner kicks on the day

KEY BULLDOGS

- Ensalaco scored two minutes later off an assist from Maino and Agelis to give WU a 3-2 lead

SECOND HALF

- Nina Lopez scored in the 60th minute to tie it at three
- Sarah Woodall gave UNG the 4-3 advantage with 22 minutes to go
