Wingate, N.C.----The #17 Wingate University Bulldogs dropped their first match of the year Friday night, with Lewis University prevailing 3-1 in NCAA Division II volleyball action in Cuddy Arena on day two of the Bulldog Invitational. Both teams move to 1-1 on the season.

- Lewis had 54 kills and 12 errors in 158 attacks, hitting .266
- Wingate had 51 kills and 24 errors in 173 swings to hit .156

- Sydney Morland hit .372, piling up 18 kills on the night with just two errors
- Maya Van Heyst had 36 assists, 16 digs and nine kills

- Maddie Hoffman picked up 24 digs; Rylee Tanner added 14 digs on the night
