Monroe, N.C.----The 23rd-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a 4-3 victory over visiting Belmont Abbey College Thursday afternoon in NCAA Division II women's tennis action. Wingate moves to 3-0 on the year, while the Crusaders fall to 0-2.

DOUBLES

- Daniela Kotara teamed with Anastasia Oktiabreva for a 6-3 win at one doubles
- Fernanda Castillo and Honomi Wantanbe rolled to a 6-0 victory at two doubles
- Claudia Vallejos and Mariia Bobrovska won by the same score at three doubles
- The Bulldogs took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Vallejos cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at two singles
- Kotara won 7-5, 6-3 at five singles
- Sophia Quagraine rolled to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at six singles
- Oktiabreva, Castillo and Wantanbe lost tight three-set matches at one, three and four singles
