Monroe, N.C.----The 19th-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up a tight 4-3 victory over Belmont Abbey College in NCAA Division II men's tennis action Tuesday afternoon. Wingate moves to 3-0 overall, while the Crusaders fall to 5-4 on the season.

DOUBLES

- Emil Remsted and Martino Colabella rolled to a 6-1 victory at one doubles
- Carlo Rosellini teamed with Francesco Gatti for a 7-6 win at two doubles
- Rodrigo de la Torre and Jashan Joachim dropped a tight 7-5 match at three doubles
- Wingate took a 1-0 lead into singles play

SINGLES

- Rosellini rallied for a 6-7, 7-6, 7-6 victory at one singles
- Ruben LeBron also rallied at two singles, prevailing 4-6, 6-3, 6-3
- Remsted also battled back at three singles, winning 1-6, 6-4, 7-6
- Colabella dropped a tough 5-7, 6-1, 4-6 match at five singles
- Joachim also had a tough loss at six singles, falling 6-7, 6-2, 5-7
