Charlotte, N.C.----The eighth-ranked Wingate University Bulldogs picked up an impressive 14-10 victory over #11 Lenoir-Rhyne Saturday afternoon in South Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse action at the Crown Classic. The Bulldogs improve to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the SAC, while the Bears fall to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in league play.

FIRST PERIOD
- LR came out hot, scoring three times in the first 61 seconds to go up 3-0 at the 13:59 mark
- The 'Dogs responded by scoring four goals in a four-minute stretch
- Spence got the Bulldogs on the board at the 13:15 mark
- Goals from Moran and Murray tied it at three with 10:23 to go
- Benzing scored off a Murray assist to put the 'Dogs on top 4-3 at the 9:02 mark
- Owen Scott tied it with 5:17 remaining
- Butrico's goal with six seconds left gave Wingate a 5-4 advantage
SECOND PERIOD
- Jarrett Huff scored three minute in to tie it at five
- Butrico's goal at the 5:51 mark put the Bulldogs back on top
- Grant scored off a Spence assist with 2:42 remaining
- Clark's goal off another Spence assist a minute later made it 8-5
- Clark scored with 14 seconds left off a Grant assist to give Wingate a 9-5 halftime lead
THIRD PERIOD
- LR scored twice in the opening two minutes, making it 9-7 on a Huff goal
- Murray responded with a goal at the 10:22 mark to push the lead back to three
- Spence and Murray scored in a two-minute span to put the 'Dogs on top 12-7 with 5:13 left
FOURTH PERIOD
- The Bears scored the first three goals of the fourth, with Huff's goal at the 6:46 mark making it 12-10
- Butrico's goal with 4:50 remaining extended the lead back to three
- Clark scored off a Spence assist with 1:06 left to make the final margin 14-10
