Wingate’s Routbi receives SAC Athlete of the Week laurels

Rock Hill, S.C.----Wingate University senior student-athlete Dounia Routbi (Figueres, Spain) is this week's South Atlantic Conference WePlayed Sports Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week, league officials announce from corporate headquarters. Routbi receives this distinction for the first time in her career.
 
Routbi ran a personal-best 400 meters time of 56.78 in the Charlotte 49er Classic this past weekend. Her mark is the fourth-fastest time in the SAC this outdoor season. The Charlotte 49er Classic was Wingate's first meet of the season.
 
Up Next for the Wingate outdoor track and field teams
 
Wingate will compete in the Raleigh Relays inside the Paul Derr Track and Field Facility at North Carolina State University Friday and Saturday. Last year, 47 Bulldog student-athletes participated in the prestigious event.
